3D Anamorphosis Drawings : Part 2

The Art 1 students are starting off with Anamorphasis drawings for our Pespective unit. Students chose an ordinary object and distorted it in Photoshop.

If you look at the drawing of the box (below) you can see that it is elongated and wider at the top. When the objects are draw this way it allows for the viewer to look at it from a different angle and it will look as if it is coming out of the paper. 3D in fact!

All the other photos represent the objects coming to life off of the paper just by photographing it at a different perspective. Look for more examples on our facebook page Facebook.com/ApexHighArt .

  1. Like this idea! I am about to start a life/observational drawing unit with my 7th graders and would like to try something similar . Do you think any mods would be needed to accommodate the lower level students. Keep up the great work.
